Meet the Foundation Team

Our mission is to provide higher educational assistance to the Cherokee people and to help revitalize the Cherokee language.

The Cherokee Nation Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

We were the first not-for-profit to be incorporated under the Cherokee Nation and are the official Foundation for the tribe.

Thanks to donor support we will be able to help ensure that the Cherokee youth will not only have the opportunity to obtain higher education, but that our grandchildrens' grandchildren will be able to speak,sing and play in their Native Cherokee Language. Thanks to our private donors we will have an exciting year in 2011. We will be offering Higher education scholarships, pilot a 0% student loan program as well as publish books and CDs in the Cherokee language."
