When is my paperwork due? Your paperwork is due at the time of your application. We receive hundreds of applications so please make sure you include all your information when you mail your application.

Why do I have to send the same information to you and to the Cherokee Nation College Resource Center? We are working closely with the College Resource Center to streamline the duplicated paperwork. As of January 1st you will need to submit to both entities. Please check back in February.

Can I apply for both the Cherokee Nation Pell Grant and Scholarships as well as the Foundation's Scholarships? YES! In fact we strongly to encourage you to apply for all available scholarships. Our goal is to see that you pursue your dreams and graduate with as little debt as possible.

Can I apply for more than one Foundation Scholarship? Yes, Our Higher Education Director will review your application to see if you qualify for more than one but it is important for you to check all scholarships that you think you might qualify.

I had trouble this semester, will I lose my scholarship? Please , Please call us immediately. We understand that the college experience is new and that everyone needs a helping hand. Our goal is to see that you graduate. We have a number of resources available to help you as well as an experienced staff.

When do I receive my check? Once you have been awarded your scholarship you will be notified via mail and e-mail. It is important to make sure we have a correct and accurate e-mail address.

Do my checks come to me? Checks will be mailed directly to the university or college unless otherwise specified by the donor. DO NOT ask for your check to be mailed at a special time. All scholarship checks will be mailed on the same day. This is in accordance with best scholarship practices determined by NSPA(National Scholarship Providers of America)

Can you share my information with another foundation, or my parent? Not unless you specify that we have the right to share this information. If you want us to share your information you will need to make the appropriate boxes on the application.

My mom wants to talk to you about my funding?
