Letter from the Executive Director, Kimberlie Gilliland

Osiyo friends,

This is an exciting time for the Cherokee Nation Foundation. The success of our youth is dependent on the education they receive, and we are dedicated to preparing Cherokee students for a bright future. We begin providing educational assistance as early as the fifth grade and become partners with each student as they begin their educational journeys.

In keeping with our mission, the Cherokee Nation Foundation provides educational assistance to Cherokee citizens while helping to revitalize the Cherokee language. Through the support of our donors, we are able to ensure that our culture and language continue to thrive for future generations. As donor support increases, we continue to expand our services and offer innovative programs for the educational ventures of our youth. Our programs place strong emphasis on the importance of financial literacy at a young age, and provide support and guidance throughout a student’s educational career.

Our students’ success is a direct reflection of the work we do every day. Each opportunity created has the potential to positively influence the lives of our students, their families and the future of the Cherokee Nation. We look forward to impacting the lives of Cherokee Scholars for generations to come.

Wado,
